Today at Perisher
Welcome to Winter 2025!
Good morning and welcome to the first day of what will no doubt be another incredible season at Perisher!
We're so incredibly stoked to be open for skiing and boarding on Front Valley today with the V8 ready to spin from day one of the season! Everyone is ripping in at Perisher this Opening Weekend with a magic carpet rolling on Front Valley for beginners and groms, and a mini park dialled with a solid stash of early-season features for our Perisher Parks crew.
Thanks to freezing temps, we've had a big night of snowmaking with 91 guns firing across the hill as well as a delightful 5cm of fresh stuff from the sky, with more expected to fall throughout the day!
In case you missed it, there's what is looking like will be a HUGE winter storm heading for Perisher with over 40cm of snow predicted to fall over the next few days, so today we're expecting snowfall, a top of 1°C and strong, north-westerly winds. Make sure you're rugged up and keeping your eye on the Perisher lift report for updates.
There's heaps happening around Perisher this long weekend with PEAK Music Festival kicking off for day 2 from 9:30am in Jax Bar on Front Valley, followed by some awesome kid-friendly fun from our friends Yabadoo at 10am in Perisher Centre. Plus, head to Perisher Valley Skitube Terminal at 3pm for a guided village walk, from 12:30pm-3pm for some open mic, or to enjoy some great, local art between 10am-3pm!
