Perisher has once again come out on top, winning the SIA ‘Best Terrain Parks at a Resort’ award for 2016. Perisher has now won the Best Terrain parks award for the past four years in a row, demonstrating that Perisher’s PlayStation Terrain Parks are the best parks in Southern Hemisphere. Perisher puts in a significant effort to ensure the five Terrain Parks and Halfpipe are in great condition all winter and cater for all levels of skiers and boarders.
Tina Burford – Perisher Snowsports School Director said: “ Many of Perisher guests, particularly the kids, are keen to learn to ride the terrain parks and it’s important we offer the appropriate terrain to learn while also providing great supervision through the Perisher Snowsports School. Having the five terrain parks around the key areas of the resort allows guest to step up a little in each park and progress their skills.”
Through the 2016 season some of the biggest names in skiing and snowboarding were here in Perisher including Joss Christensen, Sage Kotsenburg, Eric Willet, Øystein Braaten, Mark McMorris, Torstein Horgmo, Seb Toots, Craig McMorris, Danny Davis, Jamie Anderson, Jess Rich and Russ Henshaw.

It was really inspiring to see guests progress through all of our five Terrain Parks, from the Winter Sports Club athletes through to the visiting international pros, everyone was happy with the layout and features that we produced this year”
The location of the Slopestyle Terrain Park provides fast turnaround time, combined with the largest and most current rail fleet in the Southern Hemisphere; it’s no wonder that Perisher is the perfect place to attract the best riders in the world.
