Thank You For a Great 2015 at Perisher

Another awesome season at Perisher has come to a close and we wanted to share some of the highlights from a big 2015!

This year Perisher guests have accumulated over 1.2 Billion Vertical Meters collectively and the most popular resort area this year was Perisher Valley.

Perisher worked alongside Mother Nature this year to offer everyone unforgettable skiing and boarding conditions across the most diverse offering of terrain in Australia. We saw some huge snowfalls across our four resort areas, and it was a big season for our snowmakers who broke the record for the amount of snow made in a season.

Whether you left work on a Friday afternoon to be here for the weekend, put in for some leave to spend a week with us, or left the rest of the world behind and enjoyed the whole season; we would like to say thank you!

To all the new comers, we hope learning to ski or board has sparked a fire in you that will last a lifetime. To those who return to Perisher time after time, we hope you found some new favourite runs and clocked up your Dashboard Stats! To everyone that came to Perisher this season, we've loved watching your big airs, big stacks and big smiles in your #perisher photos.

Thank you for sharing your experiences with us!

This season we told you the story of Mrs Savage, who recently celebrated her 90th Birthday. Mrs Savage travels to Perisher every year to ski with her old friend Franz, who's a Perisher Ski Instructor. Franz and his good mate Christian, both Perisher Ski Instructors, celebrated 50 years of working at Perisher this year and are living proof that age is no barrier when it comes to shredding around the mountain, and we would like to say a big thank you for reminding everyone of this. Our resident Perisher Dashboard legend has once again come out on top! Normo is at the top of the Dashboard leader board this year after racking up over one million metres for the second year in a row. Check out your own Dashboard stat’s to see where you ranked this season and which badges you’ve earned. We guarantee you’ll be counting down the days until the 2016 season starts so you can beat your 2015 stats.

This season Perisher was home to the best skiers and snowboarders in the world, cementing our position as the number one place to be for the winter. Hats off to the Terrain Park team whom created some of the best features the worlds best have ever seen, which as a result attracted some of the big names such as Bobby Brown, Joss Christensen, Torstein Horgmo and Mark McMorris. Along with the terrain parks, our awesome race department worked their magic so that the worlds best Moguls and Alpine athletes had the best courses set up for training and international FIS competitions. It was truly incredible to watch these athletes train and compete, and we hope some of our Winter Sports Club athletes got to see their idols in action. See more >>

We would like to send a big thanks to our Perisher Staff. Thank you for loving this beautiful place as much as us, and helping us share everything that Perisher has to offer.
