A welcome to winter letter from our Perisher, Falls Creek & Hotham GMs
It’s our favourite time of year as we kick off the winter season here at Perisher, Falls Creek and Hotham! With recent fresh snowfall and more cold temperatures ideal for snowmaking, the excitement for this ski and ride season is officially here and we’re so close to being able to unlock more terrain – stay tuned to our websites for more!
With these wintery conditions, we’re happy to share that we are extending the deadline to buy an Epic Australia Pass to 19 June. This means you’ll have one extra week to secure your Epic Australia Pass or Epic Australia Adaptive Pass for season-long access to all three of our resorts.
We’re also excited to share a few resort updates:
- At Perisher, we received 26cm of natural snow this past week. Combined with our world-class snowmaking firing across the entire resort, we’re covered in white! We expect more lifts to begin spinning through Centre Valley this weekend as colder temperatures will allow us to continue making snow – this means the Village Eight Express and Carpet 3 are open with the Perisher Express Chair to mid station to open soon.
- At Falls Creek, our snowmaking teams are working day and night adding to the 19cm of snow that has fallen this week. Forecast temperatures will allow us to continue firing snow guns across the entire mountain as we prepare for lifts and terrain openings for the weekend.
- At Hotham, the long-awaited snowfall (16cm in the past week) has finally graced us with its presence, and we could not be more excited. Our dedicated snowmaking team has been hard at work since Wednesday morning and continues to work tirelessly to complement Mother Nature’s efforts. In the meantime, come check out The Bird Bistro, which has reopened and is better than ever. We are getting closer and closer to sliding on snow – stay tuned to our website and social channels for updates!
