We can’t believe four weeks of the season have already flown by! A stormfront rolled in on Tuesday morning and bought with it some big blizzard energy as well as fresh snowfall through till Sunday! If you were lucky enough to catch some powdery runs during this time it was truly a mid-week treat. With the persistent winds and lift de-icing, we really felt the brunt of the snowstorm - the kind of weather that makes a hot chocolate on the mountain a necessity.

Subaru Snowfest
You may have noticed something a little different when walking across the bridge from the Skitube building. On Monday, Andrew "Grassi" Kelaher made his way up to Perisher from Victoria to build the famous Subaru snow sculpture. Featuring two snowmen, the snow sculpture created the perfect photo op for guests, and a great experience for the kiddies! Keep an eye out, there will be two more sculpture creation this winter around the resort.
Line Up Alert!
We announced an awesome lineup of events on the Perisher Instagram account with artist including DZ Deathrays, Winston Surfshirt, Crooked Colours and more! These events are happening from July to August at The Station – the home of entertainment this winter. You can check out The Station events calendar for more gig details, with the first gig kicking off this Saturday featuring Dear Seattle, Teenage Joans, STUMPS and Grenade Jumper.
Subaru Northern NSW & Queensland Interschools kicked off
This week kicked of the Interschools with kids competing from a range of school in alpine, moguls, snowboard, and ski cross. You may have seen some of the action on Front Valley, with training starting early in the morning, and competitions happening a little later in the afternoon. It is a great way for the kids to come together and test their skills, with the blizzardy conditions really putting them to the test!
The Week Ahead
With the blizzard now past us, this week is looking a little less gnarly with weather conditions easing and some potential bluebirds on the horizon. With live music at Top Spot Bar in Blue Cow, and Fresh Fridays kicking off at Jax Bar, it’s time to get your après on!
With NSW School Holidays now in full swing, as well as Subaru ACT & Regional NSW Interschools taking place across the resort this week, please ensure to plan ahead when visiting Perisher.
