That's a wrap on week two at Perisher, and what an absolute cracker of a week it's been! With 76cm of fresh snow falling in the last 7 days, combined with some freezing temps perfect for snowmaking, we were stoked to open all four resort areas this past week. Blue Cow, Smiggin Holes and Guthega all made their season debut, with 27 lifts and 28 groomed runs operational across the Resort by Sunday afternoon. Check out our wrap up video below!
With a storm front rolling through and bringing snow fall each day since Thursday, we saw strong winds blow across the Resort, resulting in wind-holds affecting chairlift operations. You can read more about wind-holds and why they are necessary here. We didn't let the wind stop us though, with a total of 16 surface lifts operating across the Resort throughout the week.
With some snowy nights followed by bluebird days in the forecast, we're gearing up for another awesome week at Perisher.
There's plenty happening at Perisher to keep you entertained this week! Don't forget night riding and fireworks at Front Valley this Tuesday and Saturday night, as well as night riding for the kids at Smiggin Holes on Wednesday night (weather permitting). Epic Australia Pass Holders can make the most of their morning with Subaru WRX First Tracks taking place at Front Valley on Saturday and Sunday morning (operational lifts dependent on weather).
Did this week give you FOMO? It's not too late to plan and book your trip to Perisher this winter! 👇
