As the grass grows greener each day and the wildflowers start to bloom, it's far from quiet on the hill as we prepare for a very busy summer of construction of our brand new, 6-seater chairlift on Mt. Perisher.
After farewelling the Mt. Perisher Triple Chair in late September and our guests shortly after, the Perisher and Doppelmayr teams swung straight back into action with the removal of the lift's bottom drive station and Tower 1 this past week.
The removal of the Triple's drive station and Tower 1 will make way for the construction of the new 6-seater chair's bottom station which is now well underway with excavation works for both the mast and loading conveyor now complete as well as its mast's steel and formwork in progress.
Over the next few weeks, the team will be busy forming the concrete foundations of the second tower of the new chair, with the first stage of concrete pouring having taken place on 16th October.
