Last week, the Perisher team along with the experts from Doppelmayr began on the steel work for the new chair's top station mast. 

If you're new here, a chairlift's mast supports all lifting infrastructure, from the bullwheel to the carrier (chair) attaching and detaching equipment. 

The mast is around 7 metres high and will contain over 300 tonnes of concrete and steel once completed!

Construction works on the Mt. P 6 will begin to wrap up over coming weeks ahead of winter and imminent snowfall. 

We are pleased to report that the construction of the new chairlift is right on track and is still scheduled to open for the 2025 snow season!
