Vail Resorts 2015-16 Upgrades
Epic Australia pass holders can look forward to US$50-million in new improvements connecting Park City and Canyons to create 7,300 skiable acres of terrain; the project is one of the most ambitious and impactful capital programs in U.S. ski industry history and will be ready for the 2015-16 winter ski season. The plan includes the eight-passenger two-way high-speed Quicksilver gondola with mid-station and new trails, upgraded King Con and Motherload Lifts, new Miner’s Camp Restaurant, snowmaking upgrades and restaurant renovations.
Vail Resorts will also invest approximately US$10-15 million morein other resort improvements to elevate the guest experience, bringing its five-year resort investment total to more than US$515 million. Improvements will include upgrading Vail Mountain's Avanti Express Lift (#2) to a six-passenger high-speed chairlift, expanding the "refreshing" snowmaking system at Beaver Creek, adding new snowmaking on the recently opened Peak 6 terrain at Breckenridge and rejuvenating the Keystone Lodge.
