Perisher set to entertain with a jam-packed calendar of events

  • Perisher snow season returns for 2024 with a jam-packed event calendar, kicking off with PEAK Music Festival
  • Chance to buy a piece of ski history with the Mount P Double Chairlift Auction

Perisher Ski Resort, the southern hemisphere’s largest ski resort, has revealed its eagerly awaited events calendar for the 2024 snow season, with celebrations starting Friday 7 June.

This season promises visitors an unforgettable list of experiences amidst the stunning backdrop of the Snowy Mountains. Highlights include the Mt P Double Chairlift Auction, Peak Music Festival and decades-old Perisher Cup, ensuring there’s no shortage of entertainment on offer.

The festivities commence with the infamous PEAK Music Festival, a free event that features an impressive line-up of bands including Kingfisha, The Strides and Chase the Sun. Spread across various mountain venues such as Jax Bar, Smiggins, The Man, and more, the festival sets the stage for a season bursting with events and entertainment.

Opening Weekend will also offer guests the opportunity to own a slice of ski history at a special farewell auction for the historic Mt P Double Chairlift, which has been decommissioned to make way for the high-speed, 6-seater Mt Perisher 6 Chairlift. Around 70 of the original chairs will be auctioned across two days, with the live auction taking place on Saturday 8 June.

For riders seeking to upgrade their set-ups, there’s several Demo Days on offer showcasing the latest gear from leading brands like Salomon, Atomic, Capita, Burton, Oakley and more.

Finally, for skiers and snowboarders wanting to test their skills on the slopes, or spectators keen to watch, the Perisher Cup beckons, one of Australia’s oldest ski competitions now celebrating its 71st year. Or, for female skiers and snowboarders looking to improve their skills, the ever-popular Yuki Birds Session will hit the resort in July, with Perisher being just one of three Australian resorts to play host.

With its rich heritage and commitment to providing an unparalleled winter experience, Perisher Ski Resort has something for everyone this snow season.
