Dashboard Retirement Information

We recently made the difficult decision to retire the Perisher Dashboard. This was difficult because we, like our guests, had invested time into the Dashboard and accumulated data and photos that were meaningful to us.

However, since the Perisher Dashboard was first created in 2011, technology has progressed rapidly and the platform that Dashboard was built on was no longer capable of reliably and securely holding your data.

We hope you can understand this decision, with the protection of our guests' data at its forefront.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Why are you retiring the Perisher Dashboard?

The Perisher Dashboard was first created in 2011 and while we are also big fans of it, unfortunately technology has changed over that time and it’s no longer a viable platform in 2024, despite our best efforts to keep it running.

We are continuously improving the technology we have available for our guests, who have given feedback that they would like to engage on the mobile rather than desktop platform. We will continue to invest in the Perisher App with some exciting updates to come.

Thank you for your understanding and we’re sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you.

Can I access my historic data from the Perisher Dashboard?

The Perisher Dashboard was first created in 2011 and since that time, technology has changed and it’s no longer a viable platform to continue in 2024.

Regrettably, and despite our best efforts, the historic data is no longer available. We apologise for any inconvenience.

Is there functionality in the Perisher App to track my vertical meters, days, and tracks?

The Perisher app will have additional functionality using modern GPS technology to more accurately track your vertical meters, days, and number of runs.

GPS tracking in the Perisher App works just like activity apps such as Strava on smart watches and in activity tracker apps where you turn on the tracking before you start skiing or snowboarding and turn it off once you’re leaving the mountain for the day. It’s safe to use and a fun way to see your activity statistics for the season.

Can I track my family member's locations?

We are actively working on increased functionality for the Perisher App, and are keen to provide Perisher guests with the ability to track the location of their nominated friends and family. We will be providing an update on this functionality in coming weeks.

What do I do if I can't find a family member or friend on the mountain?

If you are missing someone from your group and are unable to contact them, please approach the nearest Perisher team member or head to Guest Services as soon as possible.

How do I track my activity on the app?

You can download the Perisher App and set up your account by following the steps below:

Select ‘Settings’ and then ‘Profile & Account’

Select ‘New User’ and enter your preferred account details. Note, this account is not the same as your Perisher Shop Login and is not linked to your Pass/ticket specifically.

Once signed in, return to the home screen of the app and select ‘Track Your Runs’.

Tip: GPS tracking tips can be accessed on the GPS tracking page of the App, including how to view your day’s runs on the trail map, how to replay your runs or send them to friends or social media.

If you have a smart watch, you can start or stop tracking your runs on your watch. Remember to swipe left next to Tracking once you have finished your runs, just as you would any other activity such as running or bike riding when using an activities App.

The App will recognise your GPS location when you enter the resort area, and prompt you to enable tracking to record your stats for the day.

Tracking will automatically turn off if you have been idle for over 90 minutes.

Who can track me on the App? Is it safe?

Only people you accept to track you, such as family and friends in a private group, can track your activity. Data is de-identified for all other users, such as the App manufacturer.

After following the above steps, you can set up tracking for your group by following the below:

    Select Leaderboard

    Select Info & Settings

Click on the ‘+’ symbol to create a group

Click on the ‘i’ next to your group name, and then the ‘+’ symbol to add group members

Search by email address or within your phone contacts list

A push notification will be sent for you to accept or decline, with an email to let you know that you have a pending invitation.

The group owner can add and remove group members, but group members can only opt to remove themselves from the group.

What if I don’t have a smart phone?

Unfortunately, you will not be able to utilise our GPS tracking function without a smart phone.

We are continuing to invest on solutions that enable our younger skiers and snowboarders, and guests without smart phones, to be able to track their statistics.

Can I charge my phone on the mountain so I can keep tracking through the App?
